I super excited to announce to you all that I was accepted in the School of Education and Human Development’s Doctor of Education Leadership for Educational Equity program at the University of Colorado Denver. In math, we will continue to work on two and three digit subtraction and addition. Subtraction is a difficult skill when we move into two and three digit numbers. Please practice this skill at home. We are also working on solving how many more we need to get to 100.
Ask your child: to solve these problems

426_____425 <  >  = How did you know what number was greater than or less than? Did you look at place value?

In Project Based Learning (PBL), we are starting our project about forces of nature. Our driving question is: How can we help communities affected by natural disasters. Throughout this project students will learn about the forces of nature and the impacts they have on people, land animals and communities. Students will then use their knowledge and resources to write an opinion paper and develop a plan of action. If you know of any communities resources that can help us with our project or come and speak to us, please let me know.
