What does a radar show us? How can we as a community members be proactive to ensure safety? What kind of ideas do you have for your invention? This week in math, we will: Compare the lengths of objects by determining which measure is greater than or less than the other Use addition and subtraction to compare lengths, finding how much greater or less than Tell how to compare the lengths of two objects that are not lined up next to each other Record the lengths of two objects and subtract to tell how much longer or shorter one is than the other Continue to measure and estimate lengths in standard units Express the length difference in terms of a standard length unit Ask your child: On your body, what do you use to estimate a centimeter, inch, foot, and yard/meter? How do we check our estimates? Why is it important that we use numbers to explain which is longer, not just using our eyes to see which is longer?
